As a marine biologist who loves both exploring and relaxing by the ocean, I recently spent New Year's at Book & Guesthouse Hitotomaru, and it truly felt like a hidden gem. The warm, welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home, with Keisuke showcasing his hospitality through delicious homemade meals, including some of the freshest sashimi right from the dock - a coastal paradise echoed in every bite. The guesthouse's aesthetics were charmingly quirky, blending traditional Japanese style with a cozy, friendly vibe. The location couldn't be better, just a minute's walk to the stunning Takeno Beach—a perfect spot for sunrise strolls alongside friends I traveled with. Plus, with a washer and dryer on-site, I was able to pack light, which is always a bonus for someone who embraces the ocean lifestyle! The shared bar area became our social hub, making it easy to unwind after a day of exploring Kinosaki Onsen a charming nearby onsen town. I highly recommend experiencing the soothing hot springs—it was a highlight of my stay! Book & Guesthouse Hitotomaru is an ideal choice for fellow ocean lovers seeking both adventure and a slice of tranquility in Japan.
